Ennis Emboss

Today I decided to remake a mod that I sold in the past. The Venus Gospel/Ennis Emboss was a tough mod I spent 2 days working on the first time I made it, only to realize that it didn't spin as good as I thought it would, so I sold it. However, I always had the idea in my mind to make a white one, mainly because I don't spin black mods as well as I do white. So I gathered the parts up and made this.
Overall, I'm surprised how much better it feels compared to when I made it before. I don't know why I decided to take its photo in the grass, but you can tell it is not as nicely made. I do like the color scheme of the old Ennis Emboss, it looks quite nice with the Kawaii Energel in the center, but for some reason, it just did not spin as well. I think the reason is that I used Eno emboss barrels, so the weight distribution was not as good as intended.
Maybe it's a sign my modding skills have improved this last year, seeing as my black Ennis Emboss was made almost one year ago from the time of posting this blog entry. Regardless though, I'm happy with how it turned out. Although the mod weighs 20 grams, due to the way the Dr. Grip shaker tubes distribute the weight, it feels lighter. The mod is also quite lengthy, coming in at 22.5 cm, so despite being a lighter feeling mod, it can still excel in the power category.

In conclusion, I am quite proud of myself for how the final product turned out. I do want to make one more Ennis Emboss, but using grippy emboss barrels. That project, however, is still quite a ways away, so, for now, I'll just enjoy spinning my new mod.

Trade 4/24/2020

Today I received my half of a trade done with Skadi. I asked for a set of ProGear RSVPs, two sets of  HGR tips+grips, and a pair of white embosses. Everything else in the photo was a freebie. Thank you so much Skadi!
The white emboss will be used in a white Ennis Emboss, and the HGRs are going to be saved for any future Moonz MX's I will be making. The ProGears are most likely going to be put forward in another trade, and I'm still debating on what to use the freebies for. Dentoru emboss is a likely pick for the remaining emboss, and maybe a STAGear remake w the STA highlighter.

Moonz MX

This is my set of Moonz MX's.
The story of how I got these is quite interesting. DarKT and Akai helped me complete a trade with BrasilPenspinning during WPSAL. I am very grateful for that and because of how I received these mods, I don't think I would be able to trade or sell them.

Currently, they are the only Moonz I own, but I hope to complete a second set that I'd be more comfortable spinning.

Zebra Tect2Way

Here are a few nice mechanical pencils made by Zebra. The Tect2Way model is a nice looking pencil featuring a shaking lead advancement mechanism and a variety of color options.

Modding wise, the pencil is very iconic, used in arguably one of the most expensive mods of all time, the Menowa* Reimei. This mod took advantage of the removable metal ring (.43g) near the front of the pencil, requiring six Tect2Ways in total to make a complete Menowa* Reimei. However, the metal ring is not all this pencil has to offer. It boasts a very unique tip (1.92g), and three silicone grip rings that are very commonly used as decoration in a wide range of mods.

Some mods that use this pencil are as follows:
- Menowa* Reimei (metal ring)
- Menowa* Mod (silicone rings)
- VoreTex KT (tip)
- Mina ST (shaker tube)

As you can see, just with these four mods, every usable aspect of the Tect2Way is utilized, making it very versatile and worth every penny. I'm sure someone could find a use for the removable front plastic piece too, making the pencil even more worth the $6 price tag.

Another version of this pencil exists, made by Muji. It is completely identical in every day, but in my opinion, looks cooler because it is completely transparent aside from the metal parts. I don't own one but if I were to get some in the future, I'd save them for when I need to write.
